Incorporated under the Societies Act of the Province of Alberta in 1982, BSAA has a volunteer Board of Directors, comprised mainly of seniors who live in the area. Additionally, volunteers contribute hundreds of hours to support BSAA in reaching its goals.

The BSAA Board has a preventative and wellness focus and works to support programs that enable seniors to maintain or increase their quality of life and live as independently as possible in the community, with dignity and respect, as long as they are able and choose to do so.
